when i want to connect to my wireless network (the window says security enabled network and shows signal strength) my computer does not ask me for a password and connect, what if somebody else tries to connect, would the system ask for password ??

no it wouldn't, anyone with a wireless modem within a certain area can hack in and use your internet. I noticed this when I can hook into my next door neighbours internet, I don't because I have my own, but it lets me and sometimes I hook onto that one thinking it is mine. You need to put a security password on your internet. Not sure how to do this, but if you ask your ISP they should be able to tell you
it will save it so maybe when you first set it up it asked you. if somebody tries to connect that never successfully connected it will ask them for the security key
Yes, the computer saves the key. On other computers, its not saved, therefore asking for a password. Make sure your using WPA, WEP can be easily cracked.
im drunk right now . but you have to log into your wireless access point by putting its ip address on your browser

and set up wep or wap encryption.
