Kaspersky security software on a laptop???

I installed Kaspersky Internet Security on a laptop and home computer. Now my laptop can't find the wireless device to connect to. I went to control panel, internet connections, and clicked repair on the wireless connection. The repair finished and it still tells me it there's a hardware malfunction. I went into device manager and nothing was wrong there. I've looked at all the physical pieces of our home network and nothing looks wrong. Also, I've never had a problem with our laptop while at home until Kaspersky security was installed. Ask any questions from me and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for any help you give.

You probably are talking about the UAC (user account control) feature built into Vista.

Read here about how to turn this feature off.................

Are these good Internet security tools?

I want to install all of these free internet security tools on my brand new computer to both prevent and detect and remove any threats that may get into my computer(Virus, Spyware, Adware, Identity theft, etc). I do not want to spend alot of money on software like Norton which I hear isn't that great anyway. Here is my list:

For Virus:

AVG Antivirus

Bit Defender

For Spyware and Adware:

Spyware Blaster

Spybot Search and Destroy

AVG Antispy

Windows Defender

Ad-Aware

Firewalls:

Zone Alarm

Comando Firewall

Are these good and is it ok to install and run them all together?

Are these good Internet security tools?internet security software

i'm using bit defender and zone alarm. they are really good. they block any almost anything. or ... anything.

Are these good Internet security tools?moto guzzi

Do not run two firewalls at the same time, most likely they will cause conflicts. I would stick with Zone Alarm, it's good. I also wouldn't run two anti-virus programs at once, although it may not cause any major problems. AVG is a good free option; I have never used Bit Defender. All of the spyware/adware programs you listed are good, and it shouldn't hurt to install them all. Personally I use Spybot and Ad-Aware, and between the two they find everything, and I've had no problems.
i use Avg-anti-viris free edition. and Ad-Aware se personal free edition. have used them for about 10 yrs havent had any probles yet.
Dont run them all together.Plus some of the security systems you have are rouge software.Only two I see are safe they are Windows Defender and AVG dont forget this http://spywaredoctor.com
These are all very good tools. I have them installed on my pc, they work very well.

Permanently uninstalling "CA Internet Security Suite 2007" from my pc?

I have installed this "CA Internet Security Suite 2007" to my Windows XP, and now I want to remove it. But I can't-- I have sucessfully removed the icon and the program, the problem is that every time I turn on my pc and log into my computer account it asks me for my password and right after I type it a loading bar starts to load and searches for this program I have to click cancel. Two of this windows pop out every single time I turn my computer on and log on. This is really getting so anoying and irritating. Is there any way to unistall this or permanently remove it? I will really apreciate it if anyone can help me. THANX.

Permanently uninstalling "CA Internet Security Suite 2007" from my pc?network

I would suggest going to Start - and then Search - search for "CA Internet Security Suite 2007" under all files and folders. Hopefully it'll return some results (or seach for part of the name if it doesn't work with the whole program name). I don't think it'd be 100% safe to delete every instance of the program (because maybe it's necessary for the proper functioning of some other program).

My other idea would be to install it again - yes, I know that sounds crazy since you're trying to get rid of it, but by reinstalling it, you can write down the filename/filepath of where the program installs itself and then be able to go and delete files from that folder/filepath. If you reinstall it and put an icon on your desktop, you can go directly to the program files by right-clicking on the icon and selecting Properties. Then, click Find Target and it will take you to the file directory.

Hope this helps.

Why doesnt my computer come with a battery charger? Much more!?

Im buying a dell, and im on their website, and i was just about to order my computer, and i realized it doesnt come with a charger! Shouldnt it come with the computer? Also, i have the option to get ( McAfee, Norton, or Trend Micro) for internet security, and there's a big price difference, which one should i get, and one last thing, i can go from 80GB to 120GB for $25 more, is it worth it? BTW it only has 1GB memory

If it is a notebook, or another battery-enabled device, than it should come with an AC charger.

I wouldn't choose any of the protection software products mentioned, but it is more a question of taste. Choose whatever you prefer and whichever is more convinient to use for you. Getting a 120Gb drive would be of more preference to me. When you order a new laptop, you just pay the difference between the drives for the upgrade. But if you decide to upgrade when you've already purchased it, you'll have to buy a new drive for, say, $75 and the old one will be of little use.

1 Gb is enough if you're not running memory intensive tasks and not running Vista. I'd recommend 2gb at least when buying a new laptop.
