I have tried disk defrag and disk cleanup. I have Norton Internet Security and Spy Sweeper. I want to be able to play games on my computer without slowing it down, especially Silkroad. I have also tried uninstalling programs.

You didn't say you checked for viruses. Definitely do that.
did u check on the specs of the game,check out how many memory does it use, and the video card, usally if it on board that doesnt help..and the processor u have..
do you have mazilla fire fox if you do try getting rid of it see if that helps.
hey you know what u should do? stop playing that games because some games can carry persistent viruses of spyware that can be activated just by openning the program
