i can log into the web messenger, yahoo mail, yahoo music, and everything else yahoo on my main computer but not the messenger. on my second computer everything works just fine. the only thing different between the computers is my main one has norton security stuff on it along with AVG and my second computer only has the AVG. is norton the problem for signing in on my main computer or is it something else?

I had the same problem for about 2 hours this morning. If it's just yahoo, try uninstalling yahoo and reinstalling. That's what I did and everything is fine now. I'd been having problems with getting kicked off the IM every five minutes or so for weeks til I did the reinstall.
