Get rid of Security Toolbar 7.1?

I know there are TONS of this same question, but every one I've looked into, I've tried to follow and it leads to a scan that I can do, but then have to pay to get rid of it; and that's not something I can afford right now. Somehow I ended up getting Security Toolbar 7.1 downloaded on my computer. I want it off, now. I've tried downloading SIX programs to get it off, and everything so far that I've tried lets me scan the computer for the viruses, but I have to buy the product to rid of it. Does ANYONE know of a free program or anything to get rid of this damned thing? Any of your advice is much appreciated!
