COMPUTER HELP... please answer?

ok, so this security alert keeps popping up on my computer saying:

" YOur Computer is at risk in the following areas:

- virus protection out of date

open your Norton product to resolve these these issues"

NOw, i did open up NOrton but it says out of date..... And the thing WONT stop popping up even after i closed it. What should i do, please any suggestions will help.

ill unstall that norton cus its one of the worsest virus protecting programs i ever used.go to www.download.com and find a better one.im pretty sure they got some nice ones.try avg.
Have you purchased this program or is it a trail i use norton 2008 antivirus and it is fine it is a great program if it is a paid program it is in the settings you have to set it up to either take automatic updates or manual i have automatic updates and also to tell me of the updates. Many say norton is no good but i think it is a good antivirus program and have had no problems with it. Hope this helps this is a subject that is a personal preference many run many different programs and you have to decide which program you want or like . again i hope this helps and good luck.
The thing with Norton is its anti-virus module is good but when it comes to the firewall, it simply sucks.
