If I purchase an Apple Notebook can I use my software that I have on my Windows computer on it?

I have software (On a CD) for my DVR security camera system, personal weather system, computer Scanner, printer, etc.. Also can I still download stuff such as Mozilla Firefox, print screen, AIM, etc. And can I still use real player... Thanks

Macintosh systems use .app files, while Windows use .exe files. Any program that is an .exe file cannot run on Macintosh without special programs like Crossover or Parallels. Both are not free but have trial versions available. As fro downloads, Firefox works on Macs, and most download sites say what systems they work on.

you can use BootCamp or Parallels Desktop for the stuff on the CD. those other things exist for Mac OS X already.
