I have my user admin. account password protected, I set it up in the control panel, But when i either reboot my computer or turn it on it just goes straight to windows without asking for my password. I have only one user account on this computer, i just bought this computer recently but every other computer i have owned I just setup my password in the control panel and it requires it before i can log onto my account. If i goto "switch user" from the start button it takes me to the screen that i should have when i reboot and then it requires the password. I just would like some security from my roommates using my computer and right now i don't have it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
Eric
How come I don't have to input my password when i boot up my computer using windows xp professional sp2?spyware removal
u just go back to the user account ... remove the password from the account .. restart it again then it should login without a password. Go again and do the same but this time u put a password. Restart and it will work for sure
