HELP computer problem!?

I reformatted my computer like a yeaar ago. Then it started installing updates. Some security updates could not install. Now my computer shut down right after it turns on. HELLP ANYWAY TO FIX IT. MY PARENTS WILL BE MAD..

If this is a PC, turn off auto update if you can, otherwise gewd luck being grounded for life.
1) You mean starting windows and it shut down ....

or

2) when you turn on the PC it shut off before you even get to see the booting screen of windows ?

because its entirely different problems, and installing updates should be fine on genuine copy of windows.

Problem 1 could be loose cables or hardware problem. Get someone that knows about computer and have him take a look.

Problem 2. Use System restore to restore your system to an earlier date. If you cant get into windows safe mode by pressing F8 or F5 cant remember which key on turn on the computer. You should get a menu selection.

Simple, boot from the Windows CD and repair the OS through the "Setup" process from booting off of the CD.
