Computer wont stop restarting?

All of my problems started with this computer when I installed Zone Alarm Internet Security. It ran for about a week then crashed my computer. Now the computer will boot up, but wont get through the boot up process before it restarts. I have done everything I can think of. I removed Zone Alarm (and any other unneeded programs), defragged, restored to a date before installed ZA, etc, etc. Is my memory to low? (256 RAM). Is there anything else I can do besides a complete restore?

search the registry for any Zone Alarm keys and clean it.....

You can also repair your OS, instead of re-nstalling it.

If you have partitions, and ur data is in a partition other than that in which ur os is loaded, you can format the drive in which your OS was there and go on to install a fresh copy(recommended as u might not know if the 3-rd party software leaves any component after uninstall. The component might be a trojan, a hard disk crasher, a spyware, and anything)

And surely a problem in the RAM will give you a continuous beeeee sound, and a system halt before it gets into the boot process.

Your memory is OK. If you have a back up disc then back up all you files and try formatting the hard disc. And then re install the OS
in stall Microsoft XP home edition and unplug it for 1 day
Seems that your some legimate application has been damage. Actually, You probably won't notice a need to fix any registry problems if your system is new, but over time, your system's registry will become larger and larger, especially as software, drivers, and hardware components are added and removed from your computer. With so many additions and deletions, your Windows registry can become corrupted or filled with errors and empty destinations, and the need for you to fix registry problems would be paramount before they start to get worse.
