i have symantec internet security and whenever i scan my computer it always detects a tracking cookie and it gives me the options of Ignore, Fix or Exculde but i am confused on which one to choose to resolve the issue. pls help me.
What action do you take when your Internet security detects a tracking cookie? do you Exclude, Fix or Ignore?noton
Exclude will never alert you again.
Fix will typically delete it.
Ignore will not scan it again for a while.
I would typically 'fix' these as they are mostly used by advertisers to see what sites I've been to.

Tracking Cookies are automatically deleted*( well as i know ) with McAfee they are automatically deleted. However I do clean my computer everyday via McAfee Quick Clean.
The best way to protect your pc is delete the cookies after you are done on line. Unless you recognized the cookies are the sites you want to keep. Go to www.filehippo,com download CCleaner, it is free. Run cleaner after used. It will clean out your browser histories , temp files, cookies and more from your pc. It help prevent unwanted cookies that trail in to your pc by some of the web sites you were in. Hope it help.
I Delete it, which I guess is Fix in Symantec,(Norton). Actually I delete Norton all together, and use something that works for free, like AVG,(AntiVirusGrisoft), and Spybot Search %26 Destroy! I don't like my anti-spyware/anti-virus utility putting malware on my computer, then lack in the ability to take it off! 'Google' this on web to see what I'm yakin' about.
just fix it. nothing to worry about.
Good question.
